My cousin and I chillin and catching up on life!
The Kern River carves a stunning path through the California landscape, a ribbon of emerald and sapphire twisting between dramatic granite cliffs and verdant forests. Sunlight dances on its rushing waters, creating a mesmerizing spectacle, while the air hums with the sounds of nature. Whether it's the tranquil stretches reflecting the clear blue sky or the powerful rapids carving through the stone, the Kern River's raw beauty leaves an indelible mark on all who witness its splendor.
Photo above is myself when I was blonde, and my friend Jess. Taken at the "rock jump" at Kern River. Going camping was always and still is a way to reflect and reset my peace. Sincere camping, tents only, no showers or bathrooms. Just the beautiful scenery, great friends and family, funny conversations, playing horse shoes and sharing stories. The most laughter ever!
Life is good!
Imagine a day, Earth Day on April 22nd, where the world collectively turns its gaze towards the vital, living planet that sustains us. It's more than just an environmental holiday; it's a global awakening, a moment to acknowledge our profound connection to the Earth and to actively participate in its healing.
Think of it as a universal act of sobriety for our planet, a conscious step away from destructive habits towards a future of renewal and growth. For some, like you, this awakening might mirror a personal journey of transformation.
Just as you found solace and purpose in nurturing the earth through volunteering and gardening during your early sobriety, Earth Day embodies that same powerful cycle of change, growth, and giving back.
